New Stacker Line in Bowling Green
How many board feet did we sticker today? This has been the question posed by our stacker crew in Bowling Green, KY since the installation of our new stacker line was completed earlier this month. Our Operations Officer, Jared Lehman, was the lead on our stacker line re-vamp project. After traveling to Bowling Green last week to inspect the final product, Lehman said, “This line will allow us to run more efficiently and accurately than we have ever been able to run in Bowling Green. Stickering 60,000 BF of lumber per day should be no problem for us now.” Achieving increasing levels of speed, accuracy, growth and profitability is the mission of MacDonald & Owen Lumber Company. This new stacker line will allow us to sticker lumber more quickly thus reducing the potential for stain and improving overall lumber quality. The automated trim saw and tallying software will improve the accuracy of our green tallies. The speed at which we are able to process green lumber through this line will allow us to grow our volume of lumber produced in Bowling Green. And, cumulatively, these improvements will increase our company’s profitability. We are very optimistic about this new-and-improved production line. And, we are confident that our customer will benefit from it as well. Is you’re a current or prospective customer of ours and would like to see our re-vamped production lines in Bowling Green, we would love to show you around. Give us a call today at 800-657-6990.
